[DESCRIPTION OF EVENT TAKING PLACE FROM JANUARY 1ST, 2022 TO DECEMBER 31ST, 2022]
OVERVIEW OF EVENT:
>>> A year-long event was held from January 1st, 2022 to December 31st, 2022 by Kirb as a self-imposed challenge on his creativity. The goal was to celebrate as many anniversaries/birthdays as possible and release as much content as he was willing to make. He has stated that "100% completion" wasn't what he was working towards, rather that he wanted to see how far his limit was as an artist. This year contained celebrations of differing sizes and helped Kirb understand when his burnout would show up and what reason(s) it would appear for.
>>> The project was titled "The Year of SonicKade", mimicking "The Year of Luigi" by Nintendo. There were a total of [22] ideas planned with [14] completed at an estimated [63.6363...%]. Some of them had to resort to back-up measures or could not obtain "full" credit, which can drop the calculation to [50%] if you mark them as half. A matter of choice, really.
>>> To avoid repetition, this page will only document the planned events and their outcomes. This will not describe any high-quality rips or lore videos unless they have not been documented on other pages already.
>>> The Year of SonicKade ~ Rebranding Video
> This video was released on New Year's Eve as a precursor to the beginning of the event. It uses the "Sketch Kade" profile picture to describe the state of the channel at the time and what Kirb would do moving forward. A transcript will be provided below:

> This event was held on January 31st and was a last-minute addendum not part of TYoSK. A full breakdown can be found [here].
>>> Super Bowl LVI
> This event was held on February 13 to celebrate the 2022 Super Bowl. This filled out the 3rd event. Only 3 rips were able to be made for it: ["NFL on FOX Theme - Madden 08"], ["Boss Defeated - Mega Man X"] & ["Game Over - Madden 08"].
>>> Valentine's Day
> The BerryGunner channel was utilized for this part of the event on February 14th, Valentine's Day. Kirb uploaded the so-far-at-the-time amount of uploads for My Little Pony: A Whole New Universe to the channel, nodding to the relationship Necro and Twilight have with each other as the focal point of the project's story. This filled out the 4th event.
>>> yeretbral 3rd Anniversary
> The BerryGunner channel was, again, utilized for this part of the event on March 5th, the 3rd anniversary of yeretbral. The so-far-at-the-time amount of uploads for it were posted to the channel alongside some newer tracks Kirb managed to finish. This filled out the 5th event.
>>> Mario Day / MAR10 Day
> ["Metal Wario (OST Version) - Super Mario 64 DS"] was published on March 10th to celebrate "Mario Day", as the abbreviation of the month and the day's numbers can seemingly spell "MARIO". This was submitted by a secondary user and not part of TYoSK.
>>> Petscop's 5th Anniversary
> This event was held on March 12th to celebrate the 5th anniversary of Petscop, the day the first episode was uploaded. The day of the channel's creation was also the day prior on March 11th, in which a [promotional video] was also made. This filled out the 6th event. Only 3 rips were able to be made for it: ["Needles Piano (Beta Version) - Petscop"], ["Middle Dave - Sheriff Domestic"] & ["Needles Piano (PC Version) - Petscop"].
>>> International Day of Mathematics
> An event was planned for March 14th to celebrate International Day of Mathematics, also known as Pi Day, but it was set too close to the Petscop event. Kirb needed time to rest and promptly cancelled it. This would have filled out the 7th event.
>>> bouncywheel10's 10th Anniversary
> This event would have celebrated the 10th anniversary of Kirb's Scratch account, "bouncywheel10", and brought back the Secondary Heroes for a takeover on the channel. While the event never fully panned out, [a video] was posted showing them getting access. Nothing more happened since, and the canon status of this video has become debatable, but it is highly likely to be a follow-up to [the Scratch9 comic]. This would have filled out the 8th event.
>>> Twilight Sparkle's Birthday
> Amid speculation in the community, Kirb believes Twilight Sparkle's birthday to land on March 30th. While no rips were made, [a drawing](alt) was finished after a few days. This filled out the 9th event.
>>> Mario's Deathaversary
> This event was aimed to celebrate the de-listing of Super Mario 3D All-Stars, but more notably [April Fool's Day 2021] on [SiIvaGunner] one year prior. This event was marked as "Done" despite no rips being posted to the channel, likely implying Kirb celebrated via external measures. This filled out the 10th event.
>>> Homestuck Day & Star Wars Day
> These events would have celebrated April 13th and May 4th respectively, as they are tied to their sources for their own reasons. Homestuck Day refers to the date of April 13th and the number "413" being prominent throughout the comic's lifespan, and Star Wars Day refers to "May 4th" being wordplay on "May the force be with you", a popular line from the franchise. These would have filled out the 11th and 12th events.
>>> Gravity Falls 10th Anniversary
> A video was uploaded to the channel to celebrate the premiere anniversary of the Disney cartoon Gravity Falls. For this, Kirb had reanimated a Gravity Falls-themed Flipnote created by [LordBoop] on Flipnote Hatena. The animation utilizes [a mashup] of the Gravity Falls theme song and Rainbow Factory, a famous fan-made Friendship is Magic song. This filled out the 13th event, and the original has been preserved [here].
>>> KiIvaKunner's Birthday
> This event aimed to dual-celebrate the birthday of a ripping community member. It was primarily focused on the user's personal contributions to VaVr, but also wanted to indulge in allowing fan-made submissions since the channel was out of commission at the time. This filled out the 14th event. Unfortunately, Kirb received no submissions, and only 3 of his own rips were published: ["THE TRUE E:b:IC SPACE JAM MASHUP!!!! (gone sicko mode) (cops called) (i died)"], ["sonk (beta male mix) - Sonic"] & ["Fighting the Battle (New Mix) - Kirb's Return to Funland"].
>>> SonicKade2048 YouTube Channel 7th Anniversary
> This event was held on July 9th to celebrate the 7th anniversary of Kirb's YouTube channel being created. A full breakdown can be found [here]. This filled out the 15th event.
>>> Kirb: Adventure in Funland's 5th Anniversary
> ["Five Years. - Kirb: Nightmare in Funland"] was the first post-delay entry to Kirb: Nightmare in Funland and was uploaded on July 20th, Funland's 5th anniversary. This filled out the 16th event, and a full breakdown can be found [here].
>>> Unknown Lost August Events
> The information for events on August 7th, 9th, and 28th have been lost to time and are unable to be recovered, as Kirb did not complete his plans for them. It is currently unknown what these were supposed to be for, and they would have filled out the 17th, 18th & 19th events.
>>> [Extra] National Lizard Day 2022
> This is a video designed to give trivia on Kade's reptilian redesign on a lighthearted celebratory day during the year. This was not planned for TYoSK but still helped document imporant information. A transcript will be provided below:

>>> Untitled Winter Holiday Event
> It is unknown what this event was meant to be, as it was also lost to time. Kirb prematurely cancelled this event due to Mother Nature getting the better of him, sending a hurricane on his birthday. While he did manage the Halloween plans, it was the last bit of effort he could push before needing time off for the rest of the year. This would have filled out the 22nd and final event.
NOTES, TRIVIA & MISC.:
> Sketch Kade's lines in the confrontation scene were not intended to have quotation marks; only the first 2 lines remove them. They have been omitted here due to the slip-up. The marks likely meant to emphasize him reading from a script compared to not having them showing him talking on a whim.
> The decision to split Kade's reptile self from his Shy Guy self was eventually overturned. Kirb had wanted to put the Planet Mystic lore into its own storyline by the time [The Reboots] were in full swing, but once 2023 came around, this was questioned and soon undone.
