[LIST OF UPLOADS FOR EVENT TAKING PLACE ON JANUARY 31ST, 2022]
OVERVIEW OF EVENT:
>>> An event was held on January 31st, 2022 to celebrate the birthday of [DavidPCM]. The majority of rips used the user's ROM hack of "Dian Shi Ma Li" while the rest were toward the user's interests.
>>> Song of Storms - The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
> The rip samples the voices of Glenn Quagmire and Peter Griffin from Family Guy, pitched to the advertised track. This references an old YTPMV made by the user.
>>> SFX: Bet - Dian Shi Ma Li 2: The Lost Riches
> The sound is pitched to Meet The Flintstones.
>>> SFX: Bet (Healthy Mix) - Dian Shi Ma Li 2: The Lost Riches
> The sound is pitched to the heal sound effect from OMORI.
>>> SFX: Bet (Morning Version) - Dian Shi Ma Li 2: The Lost Riches
> The sound is pitched to Milk from the Friday Night Funkin' mod ["Vs. SONIC.EXE"].
>>> SFX: Bet (Big Version) - Dian Shi Ma Li 2: The Lost Riches
> The sound is pitched to BIG SHOT by Toby Fox.
>>> SFX: Bet (Self-Referential Mix) - Dian Shi Ma Li 2: The Lost Riches
> The sound is pitched to the edited melody of BIG SHOT used in ["BIG SHOT - deltarune"] on Kirb's channel prior.
>>> Stars of Steel (Unused) - Super Smash Bros. Brawl
> The track is an original arrangement of the invincibility theme from Super Mario Bros., and the "Stars of Steel" title is a play on the phrase "balls of steel". The vocals of Mario's Invincibility Song are mashed with the audio, and both the thumbnail and audio are a nod to the user's old gimmick account on Twitter regarding 8-bit Mario (rather, Luigi) content.
>>> SFX: Bet (In-Game Version) - Dian Shi Ma Li 2: The Lost Riches
> The sound is pitched to Space Jam by Quad City DJs. Charles Barkley's head is also superimposed over the edited Fortran.
>>> SFX: Bet (Nite Mix) - Dian Shi Ma Li 2: The Lost Riches
> The sound is pitched to Dance Moves (also known as Default Dance) from Fortnite.
>>> SFX: Bet (Hidden Version) - Dian Shi Ma Li 2: The Lost Riches
> The sound is pitched to Totaka's Song.
>>> SFX: Bet (Optional Version) - Dian Shi Ma Li 2: The Lost Riches
> The sound is pitched to Continue?.
>>> SFX: Bet (Puzzle Round) - Dian Shi Ma Li 2: The Lost Riches
> The sound is pitched to Rhythm Code.
>>> Title Screen - Super Mario World
> The rip is an arrangement of the title theme to "SOMARI", an NES bootleg.
>>> SFX: Bet (Cool Mix) - Dian Shi Ma Li 2: The Lost Riches
> The sound is pitched to the theme song of Fanboy & Chum Chum.
>>> SFX: Bet (Cool Version) - Dian Shi Ma Li 2: The Lost Riches
> The sound is pitched to the theme song of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic.
>>> SFX: Bet (Winter Release) - Dian Shi Ma Li 2: The Lost Riches
> The sound is pitched to Snow halation.
>>> Title Theme & Ending (Anniversary Version) - 7 GRAND DAD
> The introduction of the rip parodies Vargskelethor Joel's reaction to 7 GRAND DAD. His voice is played unedited aside from a text-to-speech replacement of "David" over "Mario". The usual game selection screen is also recolored green and blue, matching the colors of the user's sona, as well as every instance of "MARIO" being changed to "DAVID". The screen glitches as it does in-game, then changes to a 16:9 layout of the Famicom Disk System BIOS. Grand Dad is edited to resemble David (including swapping the logo text to say "7 DAVID PCM") while Fred Flintstone is replaced with Luigi's Super Mario Bros. 1 design. "PUSH START BUTTON" now says "HAPPY BIRTHDAY !" and "1992 1" is replaced with the user's birthday. A BeepBox arrangement of Happy Birthday plays until the end of the rip, which then slowly fades out visually.
NOTES, TRIVIA & MISC.:
> Regarding the gimmick of "hidden 8-bit Luigis", there is a sprite hidden in the top-right corner of the glitched screen in the final rip.
